Believe it or not, the red cabbage that you eat serves as a great pH indicator! In this workshop, we will be teaching participants all about pH. Then, we will be testing the acidity or basicity of everyday household items, such as baking powder, lemon, and vinegar, using red cabbage as an indicator.
In this workshop, we will teach the participants about basic laws of physics to explain how catapults work, including the difference between kinetic and potential energy. Through this workshop, attendees will be exposed to the natural yet fundamental concepts which drive many aspects of our lives today.
Chromatography is the separation of a mixture by passing a solution through a medium. In this exciting workshop, we will be demonstrating this occurrence through using it to dye coffee filters. The dyed coffee filters can be twisted into beautiful flowers, which participants will be able to take home!
