Enzymes- essential proteins that are part of everyday life. They speed up chemical reactions, such as digestion of food in our stomachs. In this experiment, attendees will learn how one kind of enzyme, called a catalase, helps to protect our cells from damage.
M&M's and a variety of everyone's favorite candies are coated through a process called chromatography. In this event, we will teach participants about this process and show them the dyes that cover certain candies.
